Privacy Policy

What we collect

We do not collect payment information, precise geolocation from your device, or anything from your camera or microphone. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics pixels on this site.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

Service providers

Your data is processed by the infrastructure that runs this site: Vercel (hosting), a managed database (account and submission storage), our lead-intake system (survey submissions, so our team can follow up), and a transactional email provider used only to send you account and report emails you request, such as your score report or a password reset. Address lookups use the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder and USGS/USDA public-domain NAIP imagery; the “is this your home” confirmation may load Google Street View in your browser. Only the address text is sent to those services, never your name or contact details.

Cookies

We use a single, essential session cookie so you can stay signed in to your dashboard. It is HttpOnly and Secure, and is not used for tracking. Because we use no tracking, this site does not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals — there is nothing to turn off.

Reviewing, changing, and deleting your information

We keep at most your five most recent survey submissions per account.

Security

Passwords are hashed with an industry-standard memory-hard algorithm; connections use HTTPS everywhere; access to stored data is restricted. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we notify affected users of any breach as required by California Civil Code §1798.82.

Pre-scored homes and public records

To show insurers where mitigation would help most, we sometimes score homes in an area from public records alone (parcel data, aerial and street imagery, and public hazard, fuel and weather data), before any homeowner has contacted us. These pre-scored records hold the parcel location, its modeled score and the mitigation we would suggest — andno name, email, or phone number. Insurer-facing views of pre-scored homes never carry owner contact details, and a pre-scored home’s risk is not shared with an insurer as a bindable submission until its owner consents.

If a pre-scored home is yours, you can claim it by running your own score for that address; your answers then replace the public-record estimates, and you control what is shared.

Your consent, and what each scope means

We record your authorisations as a dated ledger, so it is always clear what you agreed to and when. The scopes are:

You can withdraw any scope at any time from your account or by contacting us; withdrawal stops future sharing under that scope.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will note it prominently on this site or email account holders. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
